Armed Forces breakfast club

-

Calling all Armed Forces veterans and serving members- a breakfast club has been resurrected in Ayr.

The Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club (charity) has been revived and is currently back in operation in at Jay’s Cafe, 46 Smith Street on Saturdays from 10am.

Arlene Reid, ex Woman’s

Royal Army Corps (veteran) said: “We are a group of veterans and serving members of Her Majesties Armed Forces and like other Veteran’s Breakfast Clubs around the country and overseas, our ethos is mutual support.

“It works because we all have a similar humour and outlook and the social life we now enjoy is like our service days. We also meet socially at Regimental/Association Dinners, nights out, BBQ’s, parties, family occasions, Summer Balls, Christmas parties and we network among the variety of trades we all now work in.

“All veterans, who turn up and can cope with the banter, will be made welcome!”
