Rozelle sold for £1.25m
A former care home has been sold for housing in a seven figure deal.
The old Rozelle Holm Farm in Alloway is to be transformed into 12 properties after changing hands for £1.25 million.
Jab Property Developments Ltd, a firm based in the north east of Scotland, say they will “tastefully” redevelop the site, converting the original Rozelle farm buildings back into residential use.
Homes will be a mix of two, three, four and five bedrooms, with the developers planning to invest around £700,000 on the project.
Building work is expected to take 12 months with the first units ready by the end of this year.

“It boasts a fantastic location next to the Rozelle estate and sits in the very heart of Alloway.
“We think this is an amazing project to work on and are very excited about what we can do here.
“The old steadings will be tastefully converted and the
potential for the project is vast.”
The former 38-bed care home, run by businessman Forbes Robertson, closed permanently at the beginning of last year following the impact of Covid.
Eight residents tragically lost their lives during an outbreak of the virus, with care inspectors blasting “serious failings” among staff within the home.
