Woman upon assault charge

A woman has been charged in connection with an assault on a child in the Ayr area.

Police confirmed they have charged a 30-year-old woman in connection with an alleged offence dating back to February this year.

It has also been confirmed that a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said:“A 30-year-old woman has been charged in connection with an assault on a child in the Ayr area in February 2022.

“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
