I am utterly appalled after reading your article concerning a man called Callum Muir, who has been found to be using his three dogs for Badger Baiting/Fox killing.

This article has caused me great upset. I feel angry, and very sad at the thought of the unnecessary suffering caused.

Not only has this man broken the law by allowing his dogs to hunt and kill badger, which are a protected species, but also by using dogs to hunt and intentionally kill wildlife.

He has cause huge suffering with the pain and discomfort his dogs have been in after fighting/killing these animals, who have tried to protect themselves by fighting back.

He has intentionally not taken his dogs to a vet for treatment ( I wonder why). The fear which would have been instilled in the animals his dogs caught and killed doesn’t bear thinking about.

This is a severely foul individual who I hope the court takes into account. He needs to have a lifelong ban of owning any animal and being involved in any way with dog fighting. It does not say if the SSPCA removed his dogs to a safe place, I sincerely hope so.
