Fab four stride out to raise over £8k for charity
A pair of reverends and two church members coined in more than £8,000 for a Christian charity by taking part in this year’s Kiltwalk.
Alloway Parish Church’s Rev Neil McNaught, Rev David Hume, Ailsa Leitch and Lynda Mary– who call themselves ‘the fab four from Alloway’– completed last week’s Kiltwalk, walking 14.4 miles and raising over £5,500 pounds for Christian Aid Global Hunger Appeal.
Their total will be topped up to over £8,250 thanks to the Hunter Foundation.
Rev Neil McNaught said: “Once again our flabber has been gasted by the generosity of people in the congregation and wider community.
“We very much appreciate also the remarkable generosity of the Hunter Foundation and the organisers of the Kiltwalk.
“These funds will all go to some of the world’s poorest.
“The Global Hunger Appeal assists communities in Ethiopia, South Sudan and Burkina Faso bringing life-saving food and support.”
