Flower power brightens up town

Thoughtful flower club members scattered beautiful bouquets around their town for others to enjoy.

Girvan & District Flower Club took part in the National Flower Arranging Day last Friday, whereby members left small bouquets of flowers throughout the town and nearby villages for the public to appreciate.

Some residents took them home to display proudly in their homes while others passed the posies along to pals in need of a pick me up, or placed them at a loved one’s grave in the cemetery.

The club’s next meeting is on Wednesday, May 25 in Girvan Community Centre at 7.15 pm for the club’s AGM followed by a Demonstration given by Elaine of ‘Wildwood Flowers’Prestwick.
