CULTURE CHANGE

United chairman says major overhaul at the club provides a pathway for success

- EXCLUSIVE STUART WILSON

Ayr owner David Smith has told how the club’s “culture change” is putting them on the path to success.

United, who this week signed Charlton midfielder Ben Dempsey on a three-year deal, are “intent on building for the future,” says the chairman.

It comes as he admitted his baptism of fire in the Somerset hotseat led to key moves which have now put the club on an even firmer footing.

He told the Post: “Results on a Saturday will always be the most important thing, but we now get that there is so much more that goes into the culture of a successful football club.”
