HELP THE NATIONAL MOTORCYCYLE MUSEUM!

-

The National Motorcycle Museum is in danger of not re-opening due to the losses they’ve incurred because of the Covid-19 virus pandemic. It receives no external funding, you see, and relies on both visitors to the museum, and income from their conference business and two sister hotels – areas that’ve been particularly hit by the lock-down. The museum requires a surplus of around £500,000 per year just to break even.

There are two ways you can help them. You can either go to their website at www.thenmm.co.uk and donate to the re-opening appeal fund, or you can buy tickets for their new raffle, the first prize of which is a brand new (old stock, obviously) 850cc Norton Commando of

1977 vintage! Second and third prizes are good, too – second is an immaculately restored 1948 Ariel NG 350, and third is a restored (and immaculate, natch) 1959 BSA B31 350.

Tickets cost just £6 each, and will be distributed with BSH subs copies, or you can buy them from the website (www.thenmm.co.uk )if you don’t subscribe. The draw will be held just before Christmas so, if you’re fortunate, you’ll have one hell of a Christmas present, AND you’ll be helping preserve Britain’s biking heritage!
