The Hendrix combines a traditional checked riding shirt with bang up-to-date biking protection – Kevlar fibre twill means it has a double-A CE rating, and there’s D3O armour in the shoulders and elbows, and a pocket for an additional back protector.

Styled like a regular high street shirt, it has contrasting coloured elbow patches and collar (which can be poppered down to stop flapping when riding), ventilation zips at the top of each pocket, and useful internal and external pockets.
