Booth and Moore hit two goals apiece as Trearddur Bay go nap

-

TREARDDUR Bay United will target a sixth straight league victory this Saturday when they visit revitalised Pentraeth.

Welsh Alliance Division Two leaders Bay continued their fine form last weekend with a 5-0 home drubbing of Amlwch Town.

Trearddur made the perfect start when in the second minute Jason Owen’s perfectly-weighted pass put Craig Moore clear to score the opener.

In the 28th minute Curt Williams was fouled in the box and Ryan Booth put away the resulting penalty.

Five minutes later some quick thinking saw keeper Mike Doutch throw out wide to Moore, who delivered an inch-perfect ball across the box for Williams to slam home from 12 yards.

Any festive rustiness for the hosts was well and truly gone 10 minutes into the second half when an interchange between five players produced the goal of the match, superbly finished by Moore.

The hosts made a series of changes, bringing on Ian Williams, Sean O’Toole and Anthony Parry as the heavy pitch began to slow the game down.

More fine build-up resulted in a fifth goal on 58 minutes when Barry Lavelle sent a teasing ball into the box where Booth did well to turn his marker and get off a shot that went under Town keeper Harvey Williams.

Other Welsh Alliance results – Div One: Glantraeth P Gwalchmai P, Llanfairpwll 0 Llanrwst United 3. Div Two: Mynydd Llandegai v Bethesda Athletic.
