Llangefni extra care bid halted

Bangor Mail - - NEWS -

A DECISION on plans to build a 50 bed extra care facility and 139 new homes in an Anglesey town will have to wait for at least another month.

The proposals for Llangefni, submitted by St Malo, were initially deferred by councillors last autumn.

“But now, developers will have to wait until at least February to have their bid heard after Anglesey council planners followed officers’ recommendations to delay it further.

“This was after the meeting of the planning committee that was held in Llangefni last Wednesday.”

If the plans are eventually approved, the new homes and extra-care facility for the elderly will be built on land at Ty’n Coed, off Talwrn Road and opposite the town’s Ysgol y Graig.

Anglesey council said it wants the bid to be deferred again to allow more consultation on certain aspects of the application.
