WI: Lots of fun and laughter was heard at the January Beaumaris WI meeting when members had a go at learning to juggle and other circus skills with Chris Tatam. Members tried their luck using Astrojax, yoyo, diablos, juggling balls, scarves, flower sticks and plates for spinning! Come along to the next meeting to meet fun loving ladies who like to try new things! - Crochet skills in on February 6 at the David Hughes Centre at 7.30pm. Other future topics planned include First Aid in an Emergency, Calligraph­y, Icing a cake, Needle Felting to name a few! Social Club is a small group, who meet on a Tuesday between 7.30pm-9.30pm at Cemaes Bay village hall. There are three tables and all equipment is provided. HORIZON NUCLEAR POWER: Has announced a new series of dates for its monthly Open Surgeries, beginning on Monday January 19 at Cemaes Village Hall. Following its 10-week community consultati­on during late 2014, Horizon will continue with the popular Open Surgeries ahead of its second stage of consultati­on later this year. These events give people the opportunit­y to discuss the Wylfa Newydd Project, or ask any questions they may have face-to-face with the Horizon team. PHYSICALLY DISABLED: Holyhead Physically Disabled Club would like to invite anyone with a disability to join the club which meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Kingsland Community Centre on Cyttir Road. COUNCILLOR SURGERY: The county councillor­s for the Llaingoch, Parc a’r Mynydd and Porthyfeli­n area, are hoping to hold a surgery at the Llaingoch Community Hall on the first Friday of each month from 10am to noon. Get-togethers, from 2pm to 4pm will be held in the Boston Centre-Stage (half-way down Boston St, Holyhead) where there is wheelchair access from the near-by car park. Why not give it a try and bring your questions / thoughts with you.The Club is run by Parkinson’s patients for all. WRITERS: The Holyhead Writers Group meets at The Harvest Moon (opposite Holyhead Library) on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 7pm. The Gwynedd League Chess championsh­ip has started and the Holyhead Knights are participat­ing, this is the first time that Holyhead has played in this Championsh­ip. LONDON ROAD CENTRE: Do you have a day free now and again to help us deliver our meals on Wheels to the local Community. Out of pocket expenses can be paid.
