New signings provide big boost

-

BANGOR City’s long wait for a home win finally came to an end on Saturday with victory over Port Talbot.

Four signings arrived this week and new striker Lee Healey grabbed the winner in a much-improved team performance.

New goalkeeper Connor Roberts seemed to instill a fresh confidence in a defence that has too often looked frail this season.

Callum Morris controlled the midfield and it was great to see Bangor get the ball down and play attractive football.

If this kind of performance can be repeated – and built on – City can turn this season around.

It was great so many took advantage of the club’s reduced admission by turning up early to watch the live match between Sunderland and Liverpool in the function room.

It is important the club is able to utilise the facilities available to generate funds needed to run the team and the offer will now be repeated for the Welsh Cup match against Conwy Borough on February 7.

After Saturday’s match the supporters association held their midseason draw, with in excess of £1,000 being raised.

Every penny will be reinvested into the club so if you haven’t joined the association yet please do so.

City have had a poor season to date, but with everyone working together the future can be bright.
