BPeople Stadium lifted the Citizens off the bottom of the Welsh Premier. This evening’s rearranged clash with the Lakesiders has been moved to the Corbett Sports Stadium in Rhyl and kicks off at 7.45pm. Admission is reduced to £3 for adults, £2 concessions and £1 children.

The match was due to take place at Bala last night, but was called off 24 hours in advance as the Maes Tegid pitch was unfit. The original game last month was abandoned at half time due to the weather with Town 1-0 up.

Following the Bala match, City will complete the first phase of the season with a visit to Cefn Druids this Sunday (1pm).

After last Saturday’s triumph over Talbot, a relieved Bangor boss Neville Powell said: “This victory is just a start for us really.

“It’s in our hands and before the split comes we want to try and get six points on the board. We’d be happy with four but we want six.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do and we’ve had a poor season up to now but we’ve still got a lot to play for. We want to win as many league games as possible as it’s also vitally important we get out of the bottom two and make sure we start again in the summer.”

City lost 3-0 at home to Bala ANGOR City travel to Rhyl tonight (Wednesday) to take on Bala Town buoyed by last weekend’s first home league victory of the season.

A 2-1 win over Port Talbot Town at The Book on January 2, and were beaten 1-0 at Nantporth by Druids three months ago, but the all-Blues could be a different proposition in the returns with four exciting new signings on board.

Striker Lee Healey grabbed the winner against Port on his debut, while goalkeeper Connor Roberts and midfielder Callum Morris impressed and Liam Caddick shone when he came on in the second half as a right-sided attacker.

Powell added: “The new signings have given everyone fresh impetus and a lift.”

City were denied a clear penalty when Ryan Edwards was clipped in the box before the hosts took a 29th-minute lead.

A Morris corner was cleared to Edwards, who scored with a fierce deflected strike from 20 yards.

Bangor were pressing for another when they were caught by a 31st-minute counter and Luke Bowen equalised.

Healey missed a great chance in the second half before just a minute later Les Davies drilled a low ball into the box and the ex-Druids striker finished brilliantly to seal the win.
