DID COUNCILLOR USE A RUSE AS SHIELD?

Bangor Mail - - NEWS -

PETER Rogers, the Bro Aberffraw County Councillor has tried to develop a ‘straight talking’ image. But a week before he was suspended by Anglesey County Council, he announced he was no longer going to attend Council or committee meetings based on some spurious reasons related to the Welsh Language.

Now we know his declaration was a ploy to divert attention from what was coming a week later – he won’t be at council meetings because he has been banned!

His assertion that the ratepayers have saved money is patently absurd. The two year inquiry into his misdemeanours has been estimated to cost £25,000 and will cost more if he appeals. Also, new complaints about Peter Rogers’s behaviour have been made and another protracted and costly inquiry is underway.
