Appeal after burglary

-

A woman was threatened by a gang of thieves when her home was burgled last week.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the raid on a house on Lligwy Street, Holyhead.

DI Steve Williams of North Wales Police said: “Sometime between 1.45pm and 2pm on Monday January 19 three men entered a house in Lligwy Street, Holyhead.

“The adult female occupant was subjected to threats and her purse containing cards and cash was stolen.

“The offenders wore dark clothing and made off from the address along Henry Street.”

DI Williams added: “If you were in the area at the time and saw any suspicious person or activity, or have any information about this incident we’d like to hear from you.

“Fortunately this type of crime is not common in the area but patrols will be stepped up in order to reassure the community and seek to establish any witnesses to the crime.

“The investigation into residential burglaries is a North Wales Police priority but it must be emphasised we still need assistance from our local communities to both reduce incidents of this nature and identify those responsible.

“It is worth reminding all house holders to be vigilant at all times, always ensure your property is locked and secured.”

Anyone who has any information should contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 and quote RC15008763
