Emergency repairs to building

repair work has started to prop up a dilapidate­d building which put the public at risk.

Anglesey Council have stepped in to save the derelict building on lower Street, a main artery into Holyhead.

The dreadful condition of the building, formerly the site of the Crown meant the authority had to carry out work prop up the building to avoid it collapsing.

“We can only apologise for the inconvenie­nce to town centre users and pedestrian­s while the work is ongoing and hope the matter can be speedily resolved in consultati­on with the owner of the property.”

Work to provide the structural support to the property is due to commence in the very near future and will be undertaken by local contractor­s
