TWO scoring aces delivered Bryngwran Bulls’ emphatic 8-1 win over neighbours Valley to boast an 11 points’ lead in the North Gwynedd and Anglesey Sunday League.

Matthew Jones achieved a personal nap hand of five goals and James Ryan provided fulsome support with three on target as Bulls clinched their 10th success in 11 outings.

Treetops Benllech enjoyed a similar 8-0 spree over winless Gwalchmai, as Martin Jarvis showed the way with a hat-trick, backed up by Mark Holland’s two goals and singles from Iolo Owen, Piers Dudley and Danny Jones.

Adelphi Vaults had a close call against Victoria Bethesda, snapping up a 3-2 result, thanks to the Thomas boys, Sion finding the target twice and Kieron once.

Arriva Buses Bangor, second in the table, switched attention to the League Cup second round and built a morale-boosting 5-1 lead in the first leg against students’ side UMCB.
