ST FFRAID’S CHURCH: Sunday February 15, 11am Eucharist. The church has a ‘ Winter Warmer’ on Thursday February 26 in the Church Hall at the rear of the Church. Starting at noon a home made lunch of soup and a roll followed by a pudding, with tea or coffee will be served. There will be plenty of time to chat with friends, then those that wish will play a game of beetle with prizes for the winning cards. The Isle of Anglesey Choral Society have their weekly rehearsals on Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm at St Ffraid’s Church Hall. It welcomes new singers in all voices. It will be performing in Bangor Cathedral in the spring as part of a choirs festival, and then in the summer we will be holding a Last Night of the Proms concert in the Ucheldre Arts Centre, Holyhead. COMMUNITY COUNCIL: The January meeting was at the village hall with Councillor Eric Roberts chairing, It is understood that the Welsh Government has issued guidelines regarding land that is liable to flooding. Notices regarding two vacancies on the Community Council have been published.The vacancies will be filled by co-option. Arrangemen­ts have been made to repair one of the public lamps. The Council was represente­d on a day workshop meeting by Councillor Mrs C McDermott, and by Councillor Mrs S Conrad-Smithon the Joint Burial Committee. Councillor­s JT Abbott MBE and Alan Benson attended a meeting regarding the County Council’s budget proposals.
