ST MAELOG’S CHURCH: Services continue with Sunday Communion at 10.30, but on the second Sunday of each month the service will be at St Mary’s Llangwyfan. Wednesday Communions are at 10am SEW-N-SEW: The weekly “SEW-n-SEW” Quilting Group is every Wednesday in the Community Hall 1-4pm. Make full use of your old sewing machine, learn to make quilts and other handmade items for your home. The kettle is always on for a cup of tea so pop in and say hello. PET DOG TRAINING: The Garregddu Canine Education Cwentre (establishe­d 1976 and Kennel Club Listed) at Llanfaelog Village Hall. It incorporat­es the North Wales Alsatian Club (a Kennel Club Registered Society) taking all breeds /cross breeds with their owners for instructio­n in general pet obedience. LLANGAELOG WI: September meeting of Llanfaelog Wi was held on Monday 7th at Pencarnisi­og Community Centre. Two members from Gwyngyll WI were present. As part of their centenary celebratio­ns they are hoping to visit every WI on the island. As part of the £25 challenge, the flyball cake stall in July had been very successful. A number of members visited the NFWI centenary craft fair in Harrogate. The centenary dinner will take place on Wed September 16 when members will dress ‘through the decades’. Rob Hughes from Anglesey Cookery School gave a demonstrat­ion of ‘Making Party Nibbles’. The next meeting will be on Monday October 5. New members always welcome.
