Lexi lands a double as Amlwch make super start

DEBUTANT Lexi Musgrave struck twice as Amlwch Town Ladies began their season with a 3-2 win at Kinmel Bay in the North Wales Women’s Football League.

Former Wrexham forward Musgrave opened the scoring on 14 minutes and fellow first-timer Cerys Gadd added a second after 20.

Musgrave rattled the crossbar and was denied by a fine save from Chloe Williams before the break.

On the hour Musgrave made it three direct from a free kick. Jessica Jones replied with a double for Bay, but Amlwch held on to win.
