ANDY WILLIAMS was a sixgoal star as Bro Goronwy soared to the Anglesey League summit with an 11-2 caning of Llanfairfe­chan Town Reserves.

In Williams, the Moelfre outfit have a 34-year-old striker who is bang on form and looking forward to enjoying each match for his local team, as well as sharing some of his experience with the numerous youngsters in the squad.

After the previous week’s four-goal display against league leaders Llanfairpw­ll Reserves, Williams went two better in thumping in a remarkable six net-finders versus Llanfairfe­chan – and was possibly disappoint­ed that he did not add a few more.

When Sam Roberts’ strike was blocked, Williams put away a loose ball to kick off the scoring in the second minute.

Roberts lashed in the second from 20 yards before Williams’s quality shot on the run made it three.

With Bro still smarting at being knocked out of this seasons Dargie Cup by the same opposition, they were in no mood to take their foot off the pedal in the second period and knocked in a further five goals.

In Group A of the Bwlch Car Boot Cup, Llanfairpw­ll Reserves went down 3-2 at Llangoed and District.

Greg Parry and a Shaun Morris penalty provided the away goals.
