GOOD TURN SCHEME: One of North Wales’ leading Voluntary Groups The Benllech & District Good Turn Scheme seeks ‘a helping hand’ from local residents who would like to become volunteer drivers, transporti­ng elderly people within the community to appointmen­ts at their local surgery, hospital, dentist and shopping etc. As a volunteer driver, whether you help out weekly or even once a month, you will not only be contributi­ng to a much valued and deserving service within the community, but will also become a member of an organisati­on that’s much appreciate­d by those who use its service. The scheme is also looking for people with Administra­tion skills - which would help considerab­ly towards the running of the Scheme. TABLE TENNIS: Cemaes Bay Table Tennis Social Club is a small group, who meet on a Tuesday between 7.30pm-9.30pm at Cemaes Bay village hall. There are three tables and all equipment is provided. Each session costs £2 which includes tea/coffee during the break. New players to the game are very welcome. Call Rachel on 01407 710893. CRAFTY T’ARTS: have resumed their Thursday night workshops so check the community column each week for the latest news. Thursday February 25, weaving hearts with ivy and decorating them as a gift idea in time for Mothers Day. They provide the materials and refreshmen­ts, just bring yourself. £10 for a two hour workshop, 7pm till 9pm. Ask about other clubs for young people and pre-school. Open Tuesdays for pre-school, Wednesdays to Saturdays for crafting, haberdashe­ry and tea. The events are held at 7 High Street, Cemaes Bay. Crafty T’Arts is not for profit and run by volunteers.
