The speaker was from the Samaritans and gave an insight into the workings of the Samaritans, followed by a question and answer session. The most senior member, Bessie Owens, will be 100 years old later this month and was presented, with “Y Wyntyll”, a local newspaper published the week of her birth. Members sung simultaneo­us translatio­ns of Penblwydd Hapus/Happy Birthday which sounded really good! The next meeting will be March 9 celebratin­g St David’s day with lunch at Maenan Abbey. have a go.
