Hughes double aids Cefni’s win

LLANGEFNI Town Juniors A ran out 5-2 winners over Llanfair Llewod in the Anglesey Youth and Junior Under-14 League.

Nathan Hughes bagged a double for Cefni, Llyr Hughes, Gruff Huws and Luca Woodcock adding singles.

In the same league there was a thrilling 4-3 triumph for Tynygongl Juniors at Llangefni Town Juniors B.

Harry Goodfellow, Dan Muckle, Jack Walsh and Steffan Taylor provided the goals for the winning side, Ben Jones (2) and Lewis Cocking responding.

There were two Anglesey successes in the NWCFA Under-14 Cup.

Llanfair Celtiad took the honours 5-2 at Blaenau Ffestiniog, while Holyhead Hotspur Peibio A saw off Penrhyndeudraeth 4-0.

It was not such good news for Llanfair Dreigiau in the NWCFA Under-16 Cup quarters as they lost 3-1 at Bethel.
