Classic racing is on agenda at Trac Môn

-

THIS weekend sees the welcome return of the Classic Sports Car Club to Anglesey Circuit. The club, which caters for cars of all ages, last visited in 2014.

Two Meteor Suspension Open Series events, in which almost anything goes, start the action off on Saturday with the popular CSCC format of 40-minute races with a pit stop.

Also in attendance are the everpopular, big, powerful Jaguars, with two XJ Restorations/Toyo Tires Jaguar Saloon and GT Championship races across the weekend.

These come at an important time of the season for the front-running competitors.

For the Trac Môn meeting, the CSCC Adams and Page Swinging Sixties for 1950s and 1960s cars has a full grid of 34 vehicles, with reserves on Sunday.

The CSCC New Millennium series has the very latest models from the year 2000 to present day, including Ginetta and BMW M3, racing on the same grid as the CSCC Modern Classics on Saturday, with cars from the 1990s.

The AR Motorsport Morgan Challenge also have a full grid of these most British of sports cars, with two races across the weekend at a circuit on which they have not competed for many years.

CSCC Tin Tops bring together normally aspirated and turbo diesel hot hatchbacks and saloons from any era, racing on Sunday.

The CSCC Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens series finish off the racing on Sunday and have the widest selection of these iconic cars based on the original Lotus Seven currently racing in the UK.

Scheduled for Anglesey Circuit on the weekend of July 30-31 is another visit from the ever-loyal Wirral 100 Motor Club.
