RNLI: Beaumaris RNLI always seeks new volunteers to help run the lifesaving service. If you are aged 17 or over, physically fit, work or live within 10 minutes of the lifeboat station and eager to join a lifesaving organisati­on then docome by and say hello. Volunteers meet every Thursday at 6pm for weekly training exercises.

OVER 50S: The Beaumaris Over-50s Club had a very enjoyable lunch at Lastra Farm, which was a great success. The committee and chairperso­n Hazel would like to wish you all a very special festive season with friends and family and the next meeting will be the AGM on January 30. Time to think about subs, still only £7 for the year!

HOLYHEAD CANCER SUPPORT GROUP: is a registered charity set up to offer support to those who are suffering from Cancer and are recovering from Cancer. SANTA TOUR: Holyhead Round Table will be taking to the Streets in the evening on Wednesday and Thursday, December 21-22, Santa in his Grotto will be going around some streets around Holyhead and Valley, the route can be found on the Holyhead & District Round Table Facebook page or Website. Round Table are sorry they cannot visit every area or street, but the volunteers will cover as much as possible, fingers crossed the weather will be kind.

ST EDWEN’S CHURCH: Service in the Candlelit Church every Sunday at 11.15am. LLANEDWEN/LLANDDANIE­L WI: had a very special evening. James Lunt made a return visit, and brought a variety of cakes he had made previously and decorated them in members’ presence. He decorated a large Christmas cake, a Madeira cake and made a chocolate log and decorated that too. He also decorated two small Christmas cakes and, at the end of the evening, all the goodies were raffled off including all the cakes plus mince pies and Christmas puddings. Every member of the WI went home with some Christmas fare. The Llanedwen/Llanddanie­l WI has very interestin­g programmes and meets at 7pm on the 2nd Monday of each month (except August).
