Stylish role for ladies:

WORKERS at an Anglesey salon have been rubbing shoulders with one of the UK’s top fashion stylists after being handpicked by the TV star.

Staff working at The Salon in Menai Bridge, travelled down to Cardiff to meet Gok Wan, where they played a major role in his Fashion Brunch Club at Cardiff’s New House Country Hotel.

Gok, who’s travelling the length and breadth of the UK on a series of roadshows to impart his industry secrets and share his passions for all things style, invited the staff from the multi award winning Salon to do all the hair styles for the demonstrations and catwalk shows.

The front man of Channel 4’s ‘How to Look Good Naked,’ had chosen the Anglesey based stylists after previous success in the Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards and for being named the Best North Wales Salon in 2015.

Sue Torr, who owns and runs the salon with Wendy Owen, said; “It was an amazing honour to be selected by Gok and to be involved in such a prestigious event.

“While it was extremely busy, he made sure it was also a huge amount of fun.”

The team of seven stylists that travelled to Cardiff from Anglesey, transformed the hair and look of the eight models according to their individual six fashion changes.

They also personally gave one audience member a makeover in conjunction with Gok and the make-up stylist for the catwalk show’s grand finale.
