Damo always offered assured touch in midfield

Bangor Mail - - MOTORS -

AFTER an unsettled week for the club it’s probably nicer to look forward.

A pristine fixture list is a great thing for that – it invites you to dream of what might be. So without further ado here is the list for the second phase of the season.

Saturday, 3 Feb - Cardiff Met (H) 4:15pm; Friday, 9 Feb - TNS (A) 7:45pm; Friday, 16 Feb - Connah’s Quay Nomads (H) 7:45pm; Friday, 23 Feb - Cefn Druids (A) 7:45pm; Friday, 9 March - Bala Town (H) 7:45pm; Sunday, 25 March - Cardiff Met (A) 2:30pm; Friday, 30 March - TNS (H) 7:45pm; Saturday, 14 April - Connah’s Quay Nomads (A) 2:30pm; Friday, 20 April - Cefn Druids (H) 7:45pm; Friday, 27 April - Bala Town (A) 7:45pm.

As you can see the majority of the matches will be played on Fridays, including the last match of the season. Let’s hope it all turns out well.

Sad to say another one of our long-term players has departed with Damien Allen moving to Aberystwyth. Damo always offered an assured touch in midfield. His control and range of passing was excellent and he wasn’t afraid to make a challenge when it was required.

Damo scored some fantastic goals during his time in blue, including one stunning overhead kick. It’s an interesting fact that Damo had been with the club as long as Nantporth. Thanks for the memories and good luck for the future.

We have decided to reschedule the mid-season draw until the home match with Connah’s Quay on February 16.

The first team are in Welsh Cup action in Llanrhaeadr-ymMochnant on Saturday. We are running a bus to the match, if you fancy a seat call Einion on 07969 461036 to see if there are any left.
