First impressions of new faces are exciting

-

SATURDAY’S match was a classic Welsh Cup tie – a muddy pitch, a warm welcome and a match filled with decent excitement.

Our latest signings made an instant impact by scoring all of our goals.

The supporters had their usual fun on another of our trademark Welsh Cup away days. There’s something about the competition that arouses a sense of jollity and bonhomie. After the match we hoped for more of the same in the next round.

However, we also knew we had had an 88% chance of drawing a WPL club in the next round. You will know who we have drawn in the quarter-finals by now. I hope we are all feeling hopeful rather than slightly less hopeful about the draw.

Our next match is Saturday’s first second phase game at home to Cardiff Met. Note that this match has a 4:15pm kick-off due to the start of the annual sparkly cowboy hat wearing festival, ahem, I mean 6 Nations tournament.

I’d like to welcome our new signings, Joel BemboLeta and Yves Zama. Judging by Saturday they looked perfectly comfortable.

Joel once spent time on the North Wales coast with Colwyn Bay and Yves made one particular slaloming run on Saturday’s sticky pitch that could offer our fans a great deal of hope.

If you still have tickets for the mid-season draw please bring them to Saturday’s match. You will be able hand them to one of our volunteers by the turnstile.

Our next monthly meeting will take place on Monday in Nantporth (6:30pm start in the Farrar Suite). If you’re unable to attend, but there’s an issue you’d like us to discuss, please send an e-mail to bcfcsa@hotmail.com or contact us on social media.
