Bar­bara gave an up­date on changed ar­range­ments for the Con­gle­ton Mill visit on 18 July. It was agreed that the £25 chal­lenge be met with a Ceilidh on 19 Septem­ber. Lucy will co-or­di­nate ca­ter­ing. Chris re­ported that mem­ber­ship num­bers had fallen by five with only two new mem­bers and re­cruit­ment strate­gies were dis­cussed. The meet­ing agreed that the new shar­ing of of­fices which has re­placed the com­mit­tee has led to a ben­e­fi­cial sense of en­gage­ment for the mem­bers, The “Men­tal Health” res­o­lu­tion was dis­cussed and ac­cepted. Anita then ran a light-hearted quiz. May 20 is the theatre trip. N.R.W. will ad­dress the meet­ing on June 6 on Man­ag­ing Newborough For­est NEWBOROUGH LEISURE CLUB: met on 6 May in Eglwys Bach. Betty col­lected money for the trip to Chester on 13 June and re­minded ev­ery­one that pick-up time is 9.15am in the square. Andy Lord then gave a fal­conry demon­stra­tion which was very pop­u­lar. July 11 is the AGM and buf­fet and there is no meet­ing in Au­gust.
