The al­lot­ments cel­e­brate their Cen­te­nary this year and this will be the first time they have opened to the pub­lic. The Me­nai Bridge branch of Waitrose is sup­port­ing this event. In ad­di­tion to the al­lot­ments be­ing open there will be wine tast­ing from the on-site mini vine­yard; a dis­play about dye­ing us­ing nat­u­ral dyes from plants grown on the plots; and a pro­fes­sional bee keeper will ex­plain the im­por­tance of bees. The Beau­maris RNLI will be on site plus there will be a plant sale, book stall and laven­der prod­ucts us­ing 100% or­ganic laven­der grown on the al­lot­ments. Free chil­dren’s Trea­sure Hunt.
