John makes short work of opponent to set up biggest Bangor win
BANGOR City stormed to their biggest victory of the North Wales Coast Bowls League season when they thrashed Penmaenmawr A 11-1, John Short 21-4 and Gwerydd Buckland 21-6.
Llanfairpwll blasted thirdfrom-top Rhos Park A 10-2, Gwilym Roberts 21-5, while Beaumaris A were on the wrong end of an 8-4 score-line (David T Evans 21-4) when they entertained Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Bangor City continued as front-runners and title favour- ites in the Anglesey/Bangor and District League’s Monday Division by piling up the maximum 10-0 tally against next-to-bottom Menai Bridge, Dave Jones 21-1.

Beaumaris A defied the odds as the away side to triumph 6-4 at Criccieth in the Anglesey/ Bangor and District League’s Wednesday Division.

Gwynedd finished as runners-up to new champions Wrexham in the North Wales Seniors’ Inter-League Championship, after a last-match victory over Deeside by 16-10 (423-421).
Llanfairpwll lost to Llanrwst 119-165 in the final of the prestigious Gwynedd Cup, played at Blaenau Ffestiniog.
It was a disappointing sequel to Llanfairpwll’s local triumphs in the Festival Cup and Tony Hughes Cup.
