Protesters win gypsy site battle
LLANDUDNO welcomed 152 motorcycles for the Honda Gold Wing Light Parade, at the Bank Holiday, which turned out to be the largest display in the event’s seven-year history.
Dave Crowley, chairman of the committee, said: “This year’s event has been fantastic. We have had the largest number of registered Gold Wings and so many more spectators on the prom and lining the parade route.”
The Honda Gold Wing Light Parade not only gives visitors and residents of Llandudno a spectacular light show, it raises money for three charities – Llandudno RNLI, Blood Bikes and Llandudno Lions Club’s good causes.
President of the Lions Club of Llandudno, Mr Graham Shimmin said “I don’t know the final sum yet, but we have raised thousands for the charities.”
