Store reopens after £1m facelift
THE Co-op food store in Lon Goch, Amlwch, has re-launched following the conclusion of a £1m investment programme.
The 9,000 sq ft store has undergone a 12-week programme of works, and includes a Costa coffee dispenser, and enhanced in-store bakery, along with a focus on fresh, healthy foods, chilled produce, food-to-go, meal ideas, award-winning wines, Welsh produce, household goods and, essentials.
The store also brings a funding boost for local causes through the Co-op’s Membership scheme – Members receive 5% reward when they swipe their membership card when buying own-brand products, with the Co-op donating a further 1% to local causes, including the Amlwch Memorial Hall.
The store also donated £250 to the Caru Amlwch Group’s firework display as part of the launch day celebration.
