A social enterprise has been taking on recruits to deliver its growing portfolio of projects.
Four recent graduates from Anglesey and Gwynedd are just some of the staff to join Menter Môn. The company is expanding into new sectors and is involved in projects from tidal energy and wildlife conservation, to business support and developing technology to tackle challenges facing rural communities.
One of the new staff members is Danial Evans, from Llangefni. He graduated from Bangor with a master’s degree in environmental sciences last year. He now works on the Morlais tidal energy project at Menter Môn.
He said: “I didn’t think for a moment that I would have been able to get work close to home in my chosen career. I have always been interested in renewable energy – so getting this job at Morlais is a fantastic opportunity.”
Siân Hanson, also from Anglesey, graduated from Aberystwyth and will be responsible for co-ordinating the work of the Enterprise Hub from M-SParc, Gaerwen.
