Junior Eurovision hopefuls sought

DO you know a young talent who is between 9-14 years old and who loves performing? If so, they could be the star of Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 which is held this year at Gliwice, Poland on 24 November.

For a second year, S4C and production company Rondo Media are looking for a young star to represent Wales at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This is a unique opportunit­y for young people between the ages of 9 and 14, individual­s or groups up to six members, to perform before an audience of millions.

The journey to find a star to perform at the Junior Eurovision will broadcast on S4C in the series Chwilio am Seren Junior Eurovision. Following a selection process, a live final will broadcast on S4C where the public will decide who will go on to represent Wales on the European stage. Viewers will then follow their Junior Eurovision star to the pinnacle of the competitio­n, with a live broadcast of all the action from the Gliwice Arena on S4C on 24 November 2019.

Auditions are held at Venue Cymru, Llandudno on Thursday 25 April, 10:30am - 3:00pm. To guarantee your audition slot, register online at s4c.cymru/ junioreuro­vision. The deadline to register closes at 10pm on Thursday, 18 April.

Last year, Wales competed for the first time ever as an individual nation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Manw Lili from Rhostryfan represente­d Wales in the competitio­n in Minsk, Belarus in November 2018.

This year, Lloyd Macey will be joining Tara Bethan and Connie Fisher as one of the mentors. Lloyd found fame in the popular series The X Factor in 2017.
