EVERYTHING stops for tea ... and sandwiches and cake. Antony Wild and Carol Pastor have joined forces to bring out The Perfect Afternoon Tea Recipe Book.

It includes more than 200 classic recipes in one delicious volume for the ultimate teatime experience.

The book includes an introductory guide to tea traditions and etiquette, speciality teas and ideas for cakes, sandwiches, breads, jams and biscuits.

Antony worked as buying director for tea company Taylors of Harrogate, while Carol’s many books include Cupcakes.

They say: “Afternoon tea is a sociable occasion to be enjoyed with family and friends. So smile and make polite conversation (between mouthfuls, of course) and savour this most quintessential of English traditions.”
