AMLWCH CANOE CLUB: Meets in Amlwch pool 8.15pm-9.30pm. If you would like to try kayaking the club allows three Taster Sessions at £5 per person per session. Minimum age 8 and conditions apply to under-16s, parent/carers must stay in attendance for the sessions. Suggest participan­ts wear a T-shirt, the sessions will involve capsizing in a kayak. ANGLESEY CENTRAL LIONS: Is a local service organisati­on, and registered charity that raises money, holds events, and assists in events. During 2015 it donated £3,400 to local worthy causes. AMLWCH SWIMMING CLUB: is to become the new Paa-Swimming Hub for Anglesey and seeks friendly, enthusiast­ic volunteers to support the club. The role of a volunteer will be to support children and young adults with varying disabiliti­es to fully participat­e in the sessions. No official qualificat­ions needed, just enthusiasm and reliabilit­y. Don’t worry if you don’t think you have the right experience or you have not helped those with disabiliti­es before. The club will provide training and there will be another volunteer with you during your early sessions to give you support. Once you have joined as a volunteer, the club will organise a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for you.
