BENLLECH AND DISTRICT GOOD TURN SCHEME: The Good Turn Scheme monthly meeting took place at the Breeze Hotel on Tuesday May 7. 23 members attended. Future training arrangemen­ts for the volunteers were discussed; these include use of Defib equipment, a Driver Awareness Course and First Aid. Practical arrangemen­ts for the up coming Coffee Morning to take place at the Benllech Servicemen’s Hall on May 30 were discussed; these will be finalised next week. There was a request for donations of cakes for the stall. The monthly numbers of referrals were shared with members and the treasurers report was noted. Volunteers were requested for a day at Tyddyn Mon and also for drivers to deliver meals to the Church Hall from Pentraeth. The meeting ended at 11am, to be followed by the AGM .

MESSY CHURCH: on Sat, May 18 from 2pm to 4pm at St Andrew’s Benllech. Come along for a relaxed but fun afternoon. Crafts, stories and games followed by sandwiches, cakes and lots more. Admission is free but children must be accompanie­d by an adult.

ISLE OF ANGLESEY FLOWER CLUB: Always dreamt of working with flowers and foliage to make floral arrangemen­ts? Then come along to Isle of Anglesey Flower Club on Tuesday May 21 at 7.30pm in the Community & Ex Servicemen’s Hall, Benllech, to learn how to make a small leaf covered container with a floral arrangemen­t inset. We can provide the fixtures and fittings needed but you will need to bring your own medium sized evergreen leaves, some flowers, scissors, an old spoon and a medium sized round plate, saucer or dish to put the arrangemen­t in.
