Menai Bridge stunned by Llandudno
CHAMPIONS Menai Bridge were stunned at home by Llandudno as the seasiders won by 18 runs.
Llandudno scored 211 all out, Danial Evans scoring a fantastic 77 with opener Sam Rimmington (45) and Luke Kenworthy (37) also contributing.
Gerallt Roberts (3-37), captain Dion Holden (3-60) and Gethin Roberts (2-31) were the standout bowlers for Bridge.
In response, the home side were all out for 193 with Gethin Long (69) and Robbie Jones (44) and Holden (31) the top scorers.
But Rimmington (4-45), Evans (3-50) and Tom Thornton (2-43) were the heroes with the ball for Llandudno as they clinched a famous win.
Bangor were comfortable winners as they got back to winning ways by beating Gresford by six wickets at Ty Newydd. Gresford scored 133 all out in just over 48 overs with opener Matthew Thompson (42) and Chris Ellwood (38) top scoring as Owen Reilly (5-26) and Franco Kasner (4-22) caused problems with the ball for Bangor. Bangor scored 134-4 in just under 47 overs with Reilly starring with the bat by scoring 46 and Nadeem Rehman (40 not out) helping the home side home – Daniel Williams (2-23) and John Bell (2-31) the pick of the bowlers for Gresford.
