Me­nai Bridge stunned by Llan­dudno

CHAMPIONS Me­nai Bridge were stunned at home by Llan­dudno as the seasiders won by 18 runs.

Llan­dudno scored 211 all out, Da­nial Evans scor­ing a fan­tas­tic 77 with opener Sam Rim­ming­ton (45) and Luke Ken­wor­thy (37) also con­tribut­ing.

Ger­allt Roberts (3-37), cap­tain Dion Holden (3-60) and Gethin Roberts (2-31) were the stand­out bowlers for Bridge.

In re­sponse, the home side were all out for 193 with Gethin Long (69) and Rob­bie Jones (44) and Holden (31) the top scor­ers.

But Rim­ming­ton (4-45), Evans (3-50) and Tom Thorn­ton (2-43) were the he­roes with the ball for Llan­dudno as they clinched a fa­mous win.

Ban­gor were com­fort­able win­ners as they got back to win­ning ways by beat­ing Gres­ford by six wick­ets at Ty Newydd. Gres­ford scored 133 all out in just over 48 overs with opener Matthew Thomp­son (42) and Chris Ell­wood (38) top scor­ing as Owen Reilly (5-26) and Franco Kas­ner (4-22) caused prob­lems with the ball for Ban­gor. Ban­gor scored 134-4 in just un­der 47 overs with Reilly star­ring with the bat by scor­ing 46 and Nadeem Rehman (40 not out) help­ing the home side home – Daniel Wil­liams (2-23) and John Bell (2-31) the pick of the bowlers for Gres­ford.
