Rais­ing money for grey­hounds

GREY­HOUND Mom­mas re­cently held a Craft Fair and Cof­fee Morn­ing in Abergele and raised £241.12. The char­ity was cre­ated by Sheila Bridge and Sharon Lewis who are both lo­cal ladies and set up Grey­hound Mom­mas with the aim of rais­ing funds to sup­port sighthound char­i­ties and res­cues that des­per­ately need help and funds to care for the hounds in their care.

Grey­hound Momma Sharon said: “Each event that we hold is ded­i­cated to a par­tic­u­lar res­cue/ char­ity. We re­cently ran a poll on our Face­book page to ask for nom­i­na­tions and both GRACE and SKYLOR were re­ally pop­u­lar. The money we raised from this event will be do­nated to Grace Grey­hound Res­cue who are based in York­shire.

“Our next fundrais­ing event which is a BBQ and Gar­den Party and is ded­i­cated to Skylor Res­cue who are based in North Wales.”

The event will take place on June 15 at 5 Heol Hed­dwch, Abergele, LL22 7UF. En­trance will be £2, cost in­cludes the BBQ and re­fresh­ments.

There will be a se­lec­tion of stalls and raf­fle tick­ets will be avail­able to pur­chase for the Grand Raf­fle. The prizes up for grabs in­clude ho­tel and B&B breaks, fam­ily days out, meals for 2 plus lots, lots more. The event will run from 1pm till 4pm and well be­haved dogs are also wel­come to at­tend (on a lead please).
