Raising money for greyhounds
GREYHOUND Mommas recently held a Craft Fair and Coffee Morning in Abergele and raised £241.12. The charity was created by Sheila Bridge and Sharon Lewis who are both local ladies and set up Greyhound Mommas with the aim of raising funds to support sighthound charities and rescues that desperately need help and funds to care for the hounds in their care.
Greyhound Momma Sharon said: “Each event that we hold is dedicated to a particular rescue/ charity. We recently ran a poll on our Facebook page to ask for nominations and both GRACE and SKYLOR were really popular. The money we raised from this event will be donated to Grace Greyhound Rescue who are based in Yorkshire.
“Our next fundraising event which is a BBQ and Garden Party and is dedicated to Skylor Rescue who are based in North Wales.”
The event will take place on June 15 at 5 Heol Heddwch, Abergele, LL22 7UF. Entrance will be £2, cost includes the BBQ and refreshments.
