Fall woman airlifted to hospital
A woman was airlifted to hospital after falling and injuring her leg.
She had been out walking in Llanelian near Point Lynas when she tripped at around 4.40pm on Saturday. Holyhead Coastguard was alerted and sent Moelfre Lifeboat and the coastguard helicopter due to the severity of the cut which was bleeding heavily. She was flown to Ysbyty Gwynedd for treatment.
Just after 3pm, Holyhead Coastguard had been called after a climber fell down a cliff on Holyhead Range near South Stack. Trearddur Bay lifeboat crew and coastguard rescue teams from Penmaes and Holyhead attended. They used ropes to lift the man up the cliff amid fears he had a spinal injury and he was taken to hospital.
