AMLWCH CA­NOE CLUB: Meets in Amlwch pool 8.15pm-9.30pm. If you would like to try kayak­ing the club al­lows three Taster Ses­sions at £5 per per­son per ses­sion. Min­i­mum age 8 and con­di­tions ap­ply to un­der-16s, parent/car­ers must stay in at­ten­dance for the ses­sions. Sug­gest par­tic­i­pants wear a T-shirt, the ses­sions will in­volve cap­siz­ing in a kayak. You can also visit on Face­book.

AN­GLE­SEY CEN­TRAL LIONS: Is a lo­cal ser­vice or­gan­i­sa­tion, and reg­is­tered char­ity that raises money, holds events, and as­sists in events. Dur­ing 2015 it do­nated £3,400 to lo­cal wor­thy causes. It needs new mem­bers to carry on with this success. Any­one in­ter­ested in join­ing the club, phone 07802 150399 for de­tails.

AMLWCH SWIM­MING CLUB: is to be­come the new Para-Swim­ming Hub for An­gle­sey and seeks friendly, en­thu­si­as­tic vol­un­teers to sup­port the club. The role of a vol­un­teer will be to sup­port chil­dren and young adults with vary­ing dis­abil­i­ties to fully par­tic­i­pate in the ses­sions. No of­fi­cial qual­i­fi­ca­tions needed, just en­thu­si­asm and re­li­a­bil­ity. Don’t worry if you don’t think you have the right ex­pe­ri­ence or have not helped those with dis­abil­i­ties be­fore. The club will pro­vide train­ing and an­other vol­un­teer will with you dur­ing your early ses­sions to give you sup­port. Once you have joined as a vol­un­teer, the club will or­gan­ise a Disclosure and Bar­ring Ser­vice (DBS) check for you. Visit to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Amlwch. Tues­day, June 18 at 2.15pm. Short talk and tour of the church fol­lowed by light re­fresh­ments, cost £2. Park­ing avail­able around the church which is lo­cated on the A5025 road from Amlwch to Bull Bay. The church was built from re­in­forced con­crete in the 1930s and is re­garded as the best work by Ital­ian ar­chi­tect Giuseppe Rin­volu­cri.
