PAEDOPHILE BACK BEHIND BARS FOR BREACHING ORDER
AN Anglesey man jailed for having sex with an under-age teenage girl is back behind bars.
Robbie Hughes had broken the rules of a court order that said he wasn’t allowed to go into anyone’s home while kids were there.
Caernarfon crown court heard he’d stayed the night at the house of a woman who had children in the house.
Judge Timothy Petts told him: “You need to learn that breaching orders of the court can’t be tolerated. You have noone to blame but yourself.”
The woman, who’d known Hughes since they were teenagers, had met him by chance last July. He’d later messaged the woman and stayed at her home, but had no contact with the children.
A friend of the woman sent her a text, telling her Hughes, 24, was a registered sex offender. “Had she known of the prohibition she wouldn’t have allowed him to enter her home when children were there,” prosecutor Karl Scholz said.
Defence solicitor Simon Killeen said it was a single breach of the order. He’d sought to associate with a woman who he knew and there was no suggestion of any contact with the kids.
