Woman is res­cued af­ter fire

AN el­derly woman was res­cued af­ter a fire that broke out at a house in An­gle­sey.

Emer­gency ser­vices were called to the in­ci­dent on Aml­wch Road, Ben­l­lech, just be­fore 8.30am last Thurs­day af­ter the fire ser­vice was no­ti­fied by an alarm com­pany. One woman was taken to Ys­byty Gwynedd by am­bu­lance, but the ex­tent of her in­juries was not known.

Crews from Aml­wch and Bangor went to the scene but the fire was out on ar­rival, North Wales Fire and Res­cue Ser­vice said.

A spokes­woman for the Welsh Am­bu­lance Ser­vice said: “We re­sponded with one emer­gency am­bu­lance and one pa­tient was trans­ported to Ys­byty Gwynedd.”
