Variety of beers and bands for Novemberfest
BEER aficionados can really look forward to this year’s Mold Novemberfest taking place at St Mary’s Church Hall in the centre of Mold over the weekend of November 8-10.
This ever-popular event, undertaken in collaboration between Mold Town Council and the Vale of Clwyd branch of Camra (Campaign for Real Ale) is renowned for its exciting and progressive choice of ales, craft beers, lagers and ciders.
The selection of over 40 different tastes has been brought together especially for the event by Ian Ogden and Seimon Williams from Camra and chosen for their variety, style, tastes and with an emphasis on giving local Brewers a great opportunity to showcase their offering to the local market. The event organisers are particularly pleased this year to feature Reaction Brewery from Ruthin which was only opened this past summer by husband and wife team Heather and Clwyd Roberts
Vale of Clwyd Camra branch chairman Ian Ogden said: “We are really excited by the great selection of beers, lagers and ciders we have managed to bring together for this year’s Novemberfest.
“I’m confident that no-one will be disappointed.”
Alongside, the great ales and ciders, Novemberfest also offers wine, soft drinks and even a cup of tea.
No Novemberfest is complete without providing some great entertainment and this year is no exception with local 8 piece ska band Skariad (pictured right) featuring on Friday evening, enjoy foottapping blues tunes from Cold Turkey on Saturday afternoon and the amazing local covers group The Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Band on Saturday evening.
