PUBLIC LEC­TURE: Cli­mate change will be the fo­cus of a public lec­ture at Ban­gor Univer­sity on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 20. The speaker is Kevin An­der­son, Pro­fes­sor of En­ergy and Cli­mate Change at the Univer­sity of Manch­ester. The lec­ture will take place at 5.30pm in the Eric Sun­der­land Lec­ture Theatre of the Main Arts Build­ing. Ad­mis­sion is free, and no tick­ets are re­quired. NORTH WALES GUI­TAR CIR­CLE: are cel­e­brat­ing their 14th year this Novem­ber and as a cel­e­bra­tion they are hold­ing a con­cert and fundrais­ing event. Mu­sic played will cover ALL gen­res – Clas­si­cal, Slide, Jazz, Fla­menco and other fin­ger­styles, on Novem­ber 30 at 7.45pm. This year’s cho­sen char­ity is Alzheimer’s So­ci­ety – all do­na­tions and raf­fle money from the evening will be pre­sented to the lo­cal North Wales branch in Conwy. An Evening of Gui­tar - Baroque to Rock will be held at Split Wil­low in Llan­fair­fechan, who are fore­go­ing their room hire for the evening. This will be a re­laxed and in­for­mal evening with chances to win raf­fle prizes and a few nib­bles for those who are a lit­tle peck­ish. This is the first time NWGC/CGGC have held their con­cert in Llan­fair­fechan – it is hoped that if suc­cess­ful it will be held again next Novem­ber.
