Llangefni beaten at home by Guilsfield

LLANGEFNI Town suffered a 1-0 home defeat by Guilsfield in the Cymru North with Jake Cook scoring the winning goal for the visitors.

In the Welsh Alliance Division One, Mynydd Llandegai goalkeeper Nic Bould scored a remarkable goal in his team’s 3-3 draw with leaders Denbigh Town.

Mynydd had led 2-1 through Osian Jones and Ben Parker (penalty) but goals from Jake Walker (2, one pen) and Mark Roberts looked set to give Denbigh victory before Bould’s interventi­on.

Holyhead Hotspur were thrashed 5-1 at Llanrwst United with Dewi Thomas scoring the only goal for the visitors.

Glan Conwy edged to a 3-2 win at Bodedern Athletic with Richard Williams and Aidan Clark scoring for the hosts.

Matty Griffiths (3), Kieron Evans and Matthew Marsh-Evans were on target as Kinmel Bay won a 5-4 thriller at bottom side Aberffraw in Division Two, Gary Bolton (3) and Richard Roberts for the home side.

Marc Evans (3) and Gethin Davies (2) scored as Gwalchmai won 5-1 at Amlwch Town with Tom Rowlands scoring a consolatio­n.

Rob Murfet (3) and Rob Owen were on target for Barmouth and Dyffryn in a 4-0 win over Pentraeth, while Llandudno Amateurs and Gaerwen drew 2-2 on Friday night.

Glantraeth swept aside Bontnewydd 9-2 in the Bob Owen Memorial Trophy.

Brad Bland (5), Dillon Roberts, Morgan Rowlands, Rhys Griffiths and Iwan Kirkham scored for the Anglesey side with Cai Penny Williams and Josh Williams scoring for Bontnewydd.

Trearddur Bay Bulls beat Bethesda Athletic 3-1 with Justin Williams (2) and Tom Hadley scoring for the home side with Shaun Morris responding.

In the Gwynedd League, Ogwen Tigers won 4-2 at Llangoed with Tomos Eames, Leon Owen, Kyle Hartleb and Kieron Bullock finding the net and Wayne Thomas and Guy Hughes (pen) for the hosts and Bro Goronwy hammered Llannerchy­medd 6-0.

Jordan Edney (2), Jac Thomas, Aaron Heald, Jorge Silva and Gareth Jones all scored.
