Hos­pi­tal fundraiser

MORE than £1,500 has been raised through fundrais­ing ef­forts to pur­chase equip­ment for a sur­gi­cal ward at Ys­byty Gwynedd.

The team from Tegid Ward re­cently held a fundrais­ing bingo night at the Crosville So­cial Club in Ban­gor which re­ceived huge sup­port from lo­cal busi­nesses.

Fifty prizes were do­nated to­wards rais­ing funds to pur­chase the wards own Elec­tro­car­dio­gram test (ECG) ma­chine.

Tegid Ward Man­ager Vic­to­ria Sed­don said: “We are ex­tremely grate­ful to ev­ery­one who came out to sup­port our bingo night in Ban­gor.

“Lo­cal busi­nesses have been ex­tremely gen­er­ous and do­nated amaz­ing prizes to help us raise money.

“The Crosville so­cial club of­fered for us to hold the event there and we are so grate­ful for all the mem­bers for their help and sup­port.

“These type of events have brought our team on Tegid closer to­gether and helped to boost morale.

“We are re­ally pleased with the amount that was raised and would like to thank ev­ery­one who has sup­ported us.”

The team on Tegid has also seen re­cently seen the ar­rival of their new blad­der scan­ner fol­low­ing the fundrais­ing ef­forts of Nurse Leanne Baxter and As­sis­tant Prac­ti­tioner Chris Hoult who raised over £4,000 to pur­chase the equip­ment by tak­ing on the 10-mile Snow­don Race - see page 15.
